April 17, 2024 - Water Update - Screen Malfunction
4/17/2024
Dear Patrons:
Work is in progress on modifications to the debris removal system at the beginning of the piped section of the canal. The manufacturer’s technicians are on site.
AID is unique among Central Oregon irrigation districts in the density of the pine forest that the western portion of the AID canal runs through. The attached photos will give you some idea of the volume of pine needles and other material that fall into the canal and then must be removed by the screening system.
We regret that water has not yet reached you, the Patrons, however, the screen manufacturer and other contractors are working closely with AID management to get water running as soon as possible. Further updates on the progress of the work and when we expect to be able to turn back on will follow by the end of the week.
Sincerely,
AID Board
